**Texas Tandem - 1:10 RC Drift Series Official Rulebook**
**1. Event Format:**
The Texas Two-Step - 1:10 RC Drift Series will feature teams of two drivers. The competition will be split in to two sections, Driving and Showcase. Participants will drive with their teammate during the event, allowing for practice and showcasing different styles. Each team will have one practice lap and one competition lap, with judging based on fluidity, style, and creativity. The scale body comp will be judged based on execution of paint as well as the overall scale design, team collaboration efforts, and overall aesthetic of the vehicles.
**2. Team Composition:**
Each team consists of two members, with a designated team captain responsible for official communications. Drivers may participate in one two-man team per event.
**3. Judging Criteria:**
Driving will be judged on Fluidity, Style, and Creativity. All cars must maintain the same setup as shown in the body/scale competition. Scale/body competition will focus on paint execution and overall design.
**4. Additional Competition Rules:**
All fees must be paid before driving or pit setup. Batteries must be charged safely. Safety regulations must be followed at all times. Any alterations to cars must be completed within designated time frames. Altercations or drama will not be tolerated.
**5. Scoring System:**
Scores will be awarded by a panel of three judges for driving and body competitions. Trajectory-altering contact with track walls or obstacles results in a score of 0.
See Below for judges scorecards and overall series point distribution.
**6. Conduct and Sportsmanship:**
Participants must behave respectfully. Unsportsmanlike behavior will result in penalties. Disputes regarding judging decisions must be brought to event organizers respectfully.
**7. Awards and Recognition:**
Awards will be presented based on overall scores, with no protests allowed. Judges' decisions are final.
**8. Amendments and Updates:**
The event organizers reserve the right to update the rulebook, with notice provided. Participants agree to abide by these rules and regulations.
**9. Spec Tires:**
There will be no requirement on spec tire for this event. Host track will have any and all say on tires that may or may not be used on their surface. Hosts or event organizer may at any time deem a track unfit for the shop if they believe there is a risk of damage to their floor or property for any reason.
**10. Pricing, Fees, and Winnings:**
To be announced by the hosting track or event organizer (RC-DN) prior to the event. Specific details for each event will be made public upon announcement and creation of the event on social media. Winning team will receive $300 cash prize for each round with minimum of 10 teams entered. Of the $50 total team registration $30 will go to cash prize, $10 will go to an overall winners pot to be awarded at the completion of the series, $10 will go to RC-DN for administrative and hosting fees. If the competition had ten teams for 7 rounds (including the final), the grand prize pot would equal $700. Should a team happen to win the final round and overall points series they would win $1000. *These numbers are just a scenario and subject to change based on the total number of participants entered into the competition*
